The Walking Dead on TV!
I've read a good amount of The Walking Dead comic book series and loved it! A lot of people found it to be like 28 Days Later, however, the plot goes MUCH deeper than that movie did. Today I found out that they are making it a TV show on AMC! UGGGGHHHHH!!!!! I'm so stoked!!!!! Watch the trailer!

Reversible Lace/Garter Stitch Scarf!
Materials:
I used Caron Simply Soft in Gray Heather, but you can use whatever you want as long as it's worsted weight or something close.
Needles: US 8 (5 mm). If you want an "airy" scarf use bigger needles, and if you want a "tighter" scarf use smaller needles. Size US 8 is right in the middle!
Gauge (this isn't really important to the pattern): 8 sts = 5 cm (2 inches).
Note: This will make an (unblocked) width of about 13 cm (about 5 inches). To increase the width: add 4 or more stitches, dividable with 4. The scarf is very stretchy, but you could use a bigger/smaller needle size, thicker/thinner yarn or adjust the stitch count to get a different size.
K= knit
K2tog= knit 2 stitches together
YO= Yarn over
Sts= stitches
Pattern:
Cast on 24 sts (or any number of stiches dividable with 4).
Knit 2 rows.
Row 1-16: K4, *YO, K2tog, K2 repeat at * till end of the row.
Row 17-24: Kint.
Repeat the pattern row until your scarf is at desired length.
Finishing:
Knit 2 rows.
Cast off loosely.
Weave in ends.
Block if you want to.

Long time, eh?
It's been awhile since I last posted... and I'm sorry. My excuse for not posting is really good though! A lot of stuff happened in my life, such as my Fiancé and I moving out of his wench of a mother's house and to my parent's place in Oregon... then getting married while down there... then my Husband and I move to our first place in Cheney, WA... then go back down to southern Oregon to visit my biological father and his family... then driving back up to Washington in our first car... THEN me getting a position at AT&T being a Customer Service Representative.
Yeah... Wow huh?
As for this blog, it's going to be a journal/knitting/crafting... thing. I really want to start experimenting with knitting to create my own patterns,and in-turn sharing them on Ravelry.
So I hope I have the will and time to keep this blog reasonably updated with new posts and goodies. I gotta tell you though, the schedule for this new job might be brutal...
