The Walking Dead on TV!
I've read a good amount of The Walking Dead comic book series and loved it! A lot of people found it to be like 28 Days Later, however, the plot goes MUCH deeper than that movie did. Today I found out that they are making it a TV show on AMC! UGGGGHHHHH!!!!! I'm so stoked!!!!! Watch the trailer!

Reversible Lace/Garter Stitch Scarf!
Materials:
I used Caron Simply Soft in Gray Heather, but you can use whatever you want as long as it's worsted weight or something close.
Needles: US 8 (5 mm). If you want an "airy" scarf use bigger needles, and if you want a "tighter" scarf use smaller needles. Size US 8 is right in the middle!
Gauge (this isn't really important to the pattern): 8 sts = 5 cm (2 inches).
Note: This will make an (unblocked) width of about 13 cm (about 5 inches). To increase the width: add 4 or more stitches, dividable with 4. The scarf is very stretchy, but you could use a bigger/smaller needle size, thicker/thinner yarn or adjust the stitch count to get a different size.
K= knit
K2tog= knit 2 stitches together
YO= Yarn over
Sts= stitches
Pattern:
Cast on 24 sts (or any number of stiches dividable with 4).
Knit 2 rows.
Row 1-16: K4, *YO, K2tog, K2 repeat at * till end of the row.
Row 17-24: Kint.
Repeat the pattern row until your scarf is at desired length.
Finishing:
Knit 2 rows.
Cast off loosely.
Weave in ends.
Block if you want to.

Long time, eh?
It's been awhile since I last posted... and I'm sorry. My excuse for not posting is really good though! A lot of stuff happened in my life, such as my Fiancé and I moving out of his wench of a mother's house and to my parent's place in Oregon... then getting married while down there... then my Husband and I move to our first place in Cheney, WA... then go back down to southern Oregon to visit my biological father and his family... then driving back up to Washington in our first car... THEN me getting a position at AT&T being a Customer Service Representative.
Yeah... Wow huh?
As for this blog, it's going to be a journal/knitting/crafting... thing. I really want to start experimenting with knitting to create my own patterns,and in-turn sharing them on Ravelry.
So I hope I have the will and time to keep this blog reasonably updated with new posts and goodies. I gotta tell you though, the schedule for this new job might be brutal...

Making A Pattern
I'm going to be making a knitting pattern soon and I was wondering if I could get some advice on making one. I'm making a dishcloth with an image on it (actually it's a Keywork) using the basic knit and purl technique. What is the best way that I can create this image on the dishcloth without making the cloth look like crap? I have a pixelized PDF of the image, unfortunately I can't put it on my blog for some weird reason. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Coheed Crafters on Ravelry.com!
As a knitter I was very surprised that there weren't any Coheed fans that were crafters, so I created a group on Ravelry.com. It's a place for fans to talk about the band and/or storyline and also post/share some of their Coheed related projects. The site mostly caters to knitters, crocheters, spinners, and other fiber arts. So if your interested go to http://www.ravelry.com/groups/coheed-and-cambria-fans
Hope to see some people there!

St. Patrick's Day Fun-For-All!
St. Patrick's Day is upon us and I am having my party the day before. I'll be making a few dishes such as corned beef and cabbage, soda bread, Irish whiskey cake, and I might be making a colcannon torte. I'm excited, all of my friends will be there. We are going to be chilling, playing rock band, drinking, and of course eating.
I've been knitting a lot. For the last few weeks I've been knitting this really cool dishcloth. It's a St. Patrick's Day dishcloth! Actually there's two and I was knitting, one big one and a small one. They are so pretty! I do not want to wash the dishes with them. Also, this is the first time that I made an I-cord, I didn't okay job so I'm proud of myself.
The next knitting venture is a dishcloth, but not just any dishcloth no no no... this one is a Doctor Who dishcloth! A dalek to be precise. I'm kind of scared because I have to knit bobbles, three different types of bobbles. Yup! I've never done that before but I think I can manage. I hope everyone has a good St. Patrick's Day.

Getting crunk and seeking truth
Well since this is my first blog ever I get some good to be pretty casual with it, considering that I made this Blogger account a couple of weeks ago.
With that being said, I'm going to sum myself up with this blog.
My grammar is horrible so I expect my readers (if I have any) to be very frustrated with me.I don't really care about what you all think, I would love to hear your opinion but at the end of the day I am who I am... no apologies.
Okay. Now that we've got that over with.
So pretty recently I've been looking into different religions. Not in the religious sense but the spiritual sense. I love to seek truth and a level learning about different religions. I've been looking into the Baha'i faith pretty intensely, in a lot of ways it makes sense to me but I don't believe 100%. There's a lot of things about the Baha'i faith that I do not agree with. For instance, I believe in pro-choice and being that I am a bisexual woman I believe in gay marriage, the Baha'i faith does not condone any of these things. Plus, I like to drink alcohol, not all the time but I do have recreational use of it and again this is something that the faith does not endorse at all. In my opinion, if I don't agree with everything that the religious faith believes in then that religion/faith isn't for me. Why am I looking at all the things you ask? Good question... I don't know. I don't, I have no idea why I'm doing this, I've heard lots of religions call people like me a "Seeker".I guess I just have an interest about these things.
Within the last few days, well weeks, I've been looking into Buddhism. I've been reading a lot of literature by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, and I got it to you it's been pretty cool. The whole concept of no religion and letting go has really made me think that Buddhism might be a path that I want to take in my spiritual life. I'm not really like an extremist when it comes to following a faith, but I do follow guidelines. And hey! I like peace and tranquility, I like happiness and I like the fact that I don't have to go to a shrine/church and be with people who don't see what I see spiritual wise, I can just study, read, and live my spiritual life without the condemnation of my peers. If that sounds right. lol
Plus, Buddhadasa Bhikkhu has an amazing picture of himself in the front of his books. He's just sitting there with the giant rooster in his lap (you can make all the fat cock jokes that you want from that photo)!
Check you guys later!
